Teachers' Day Gathering
Will you be going back to WDP during Teachers' Day Celebration? It has been a long time since we saw our primary school teachers (Chinese New Year was the last gathering). If you are interested, we can organise a Teachers' Day Gathering and maybe do something special for our teachers? Just a suggestion. Express your opinions in the tagboard.
Note: Green thank-you cards are allowed, but they should contain no pun.

Changes @ Monday, August 31, 2009
I'm posting this from HCI Computer Lab. Most of you wouldn't see this before the gathering, but I'll post here just in case.
The WTF 2009 board has been unlocked for teachers. Lionell will be presenting it to the teachers.
This will not affect schools other than HCI, NYGH and others who are participating in The Bus Challenge.
Since NYGH ends school at 11.30am instead 11am, The Bus Challenge will be postponed to 11.30am~12.30pm. Free and Easy will be as usual, until 1pm. Everything else remains the same.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Haha. @ Friday, August 21, 2009
Well, Lionell here, my assignment's the same as YJ. So here goes.
The primary days of life…
In Primary 1 I was innocent,
Young and cute, short and chubby.
I took the school bus there.
A big building stood greeted me
Small and big kids.
Running around in the parade square.
Excitement surge in me.
I rush down to join.
In Primary 2 I was arrogant
I entered the best class
But I’m not the best child
I was the last child, in the best class.
Grades don’t make a sound to me.
Neither does my progress slip.
In Primary 3 and 4
I achieve well in math
People like me,
I like school.
I get arrogant.
People dislike me.
I hate school.
In Primary 5 and 6
Pressure arrived.
4 Letters , just 4.
No more no less.
That was what I had prepared for,
Through my primary school life.
Time was a breeze.
Without knowing, I was on the stage.
Smiling to the camera,
For I am ranked 2nd
Sweet memories
Bitter memories
I can still remember.
The days in canteen.
When we mixed vitagen and Laksa soup.
When we shoot ice with straws
When we fought with fish ball sticks.
So many, so many.
So many till I can write a book.
Titled, ‘The canteen in my school’
I remember the time,
I faked my reading challenge.
I wrote down books without reading.
So I could get an ultraman badge.
Below the character was some tiny words.
It says “Ultimate reader”
I didn’t care much about that.
I only wanted a badge.
I also remember the time,
My buddy gave me money,
To keep me quiet.
That bought me a few fishball.
Not to mention,
That we played table tennis,
Using hardcover books.
The things are just too many to mention in a poem.
I could write a series.
All about my primary days…
Ahhh…If only I could live it through again.
Never will I live it a different way.
Nothing shall change.
It's kinda substandard and the stanzas are like...
-Lionell =D

Six Years @ Thursday, August 20, 2009
Part of my E-Learning LA Assignment was to write a poem about my primary school... so here it is. (to waste your time)
Six Years
Six years of growing,
Six years of fun.
Remembering the six years,
Oh, what a wonderful time.
On the first day,
Walking into a foreign school.
I had no friends to play
with because I was new.
As the months went pass,
I had three best friends.
We shared among us
Our food during recess.
After the first three years,
it was time to split us three.
We were all advancing
To the upper primary.
Being matured enough,
We balanced study and play.
We played at night
and we studied all day.
It was time for examinations,
and an important one too.
It will decide our future,
which secondary school.
Six years of growing,
Six years of fun.
The six years are over,
we have moved on and we're done.

'Wish Them First' Project 2009 @ Friday, August 14, 2009
For this year's Teachers' Day Gathering, we will complete the Wish Them First (WTF) Project 2009. Before the gathering, we will collect all dedications in a online whiteboard and then present it to the teachers. (Maybe through a teacher or something. More confirmation will be needed.)
For now, you still can poll. If you polled 'yes', or did not poll but want to give your dedications, you can at this website: http://www.skrbl.com/wishthemfirst2009. Please include your name and teacher in your dedication. Note that all dedications that do not include the above will be deleted so that it will not hog up the space.
Last point, WTF project is only for 6 Endurians 2008!

Teachers' Day Dedications Board @ Thursday, August 13, 2009
As Lionell has suggested, we should create a Teachers' Day Dedications board so everyone can put up your own dedications on the site. There are a few problems though:
- How will the teachers know the link to the site?
- How can we identify the dedication?
The second question is easy to solve. However, I would like everyone's views. So, while Lionell is busy finding the site, please poll at the side and express your opinions in the tagboard. Poll closes on 20th August 2009 at 8.20AM PST. (not GMT+8)
Thanks in advance! (:
